CoffeePals Update: Email Delivery, Easier Invites, and Deel

What's New in CoffeePals
This is the release where email becomes a real way to use CoffeePals. People who aren't on Slack or Teams can now take part by email, admins can see exactly who CoffeePals can't reach and why, and inviting people takes one step. Here's what's new.
CoffeePals Over Email
Not everyone at your company lives in Slack or Teams. Frontline teams, contractors and people without a chat account can now get CoffeePals by email, with no extra setup.
How it works:
- Anyone who isn't on your connected Slack or Teams now gets their matches, intros and check-ins by email automatically
- Reply to a match email to message your match. We deliver the reply for you.
- Answer "did you meet?" check-ins with one tap, right from the email
- Each person chooses how they'd like to be reached under My settings › Notifications
- Want everyone emailed as well as messaged on chat? Admins can turn on Email every member under Settings › Communication channels

See Who You Can't Reach, and Fix It
A program only works if people actually get their matches. Your member list now shows whether CoffeePals can reach each person, and if not, why.
- Members we can't reach are labelled Unreachable, with the reason a hover away: an email that bounced, an app your IT team disabled, and so on
- Where there's a fix, retry it from the row's menu
- Filter the list down to just the people we can't reach
- Every Monday, the owner and admins of each workspace with an active program get a short summary of anyone we can't reach, with newcomers flagged. If everyone is reachable, there's no email.
Get CoffeePals Email Past Your Filters
Company email filters sometimes catch new senders. The new Allow CoffeePals email guide, under Settings › Communication channels, walks you or your IT team through allowlisting us. Send the steps straight to IT, then send yourself a test email to confirm it arrived.

One Place to Invite People
Click Invite users on your member list to open the new Invite people drawer. It replaces the separate email and spreadsheet invite screens.
- Type or paste addresses, or upload a spreadsheet, all in one place
- Every name and address is checked before anything is sent
- Afterwards, see what happened for each person, and resend, reactivate or retry in one click
Redesigned Workspace Settings
Workspace settings now has a sidebar, so General, Security, Roles, Billing, Communication channels, Calendar and HR & directory are each one click away. Your connected Slack and Teams workspaces now live under Communication channels, and old bookmarks still take you to the right page.
Connect Deel
On plans with HR integration, Deel is now one of the HR systems you can connect to keep your member list up to date. When you connect any HR system for the first time, nobody is imported until you've chosen which fields and departments to sync and saved, so nothing comes in by surprise.
Under the Hood
- A program's intro card now goes to the channel you configured
- Coffee Maker keeps its multi-week cycle and local run time across daylight saving changes
- Teams interactions now ride out momentary Microsoft sign-in hiccups instead of failing
- Security updates across sign-in and the platform
Curious who you can reach? Head to your CoffeePals dashboard and filter your member list to anyone we can't reach.
