Is this generator really free?
Yes — completely free, no signup, no email required, and no watermark on the downloaded image. Use it as often as you like.
Where do my uploaded photos and logos go?
Nowhere. Every image you add is processed in your browser using the HTML canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, nothing is stored, nothing is tracked.
What image size does it produce?
Cards export as 1200×630 PNGs. That ratio is ideal for Slack image previews, LinkedIn posts, and email signatures, and looks crisp on retina displays.
How do I post the card to Slack?
Two options. Click Download to save the PNG and drag it into any Slack channel or DM. Or click Copy image and paste it directly into a message with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG in the Company logo section and it will appear at the top of every template. Your branding stays consistent across cards.
What should I write in a birthday message for a coworker?
Keep it warm and brief. Something like "Hope today is as awesome as you are — wishing you a great year ahead" works for almost anyone. If you know the person well, add an inside joke or reference a recent win. Avoid anything about age unless you know they enjoy that kind of teasing.
Should I include the person’s age?
Generally no, especially in a work context. Stick to the name, a warm message, and a sign-off from the team. The card celebrates them — there’s no need to spotlight the number.
Can I use this for a virtual or remote team birthday?
Yes — that’s the most common use case. Drop the card in your team channel along with a quick #birthdays message, and consider pairing it with a virtual coffee or short team huddle so people can say happy birthday live.
Can I make a group birthday card for multiple people?
The current generator creates a card for one person at a time. For a group celebration, generate individual cards and post them together, or use the Confetti template with a generic name like "the team".
