Try CoffeePals freeFrequently asked questions
- Is this generator really free?
- Yes — completely free, no signup, no email required, and no watermark on the downloaded image. Use it as often as you like.
- Where do my uploaded photos and logos go?
- Nowhere. Every image you add is processed in your browser using the HTML canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, nothing is stored, nothing is tracked.
- What image size does it produce?
- Cards export as 1200×630 PNGs. That ratio is ideal for Slack image previews, LinkedIn posts, and email signatures, and looks crisp on retina displays.
- How do I post the card to Slack?
- Two options. Click Download to save the PNG and drag it into any Slack channel or DM. Or click Copy image and paste it directly into a message with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.
- Can I add my company logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG in the Company logo section and it will appear at the top of every template. Your branding stays consistent across cards.
- What should I write in a farewell card for a coworker?
- Lead with gratitude and a specific memory. "Thanks for three years of patient code reviews — the team is better because of you" works better than "good luck on your next chapter." If you want, add a personal sign-off from the team.
- When should I post a farewell card in Slack?
- Late morning or early afternoon on the person’s last day, in your main team channel. That gives teammates time to react and post their own send-offs before the person logs off for the last time.
- Should I post a farewell card if someone was let go?
- Usually no public card if the departure wasn’t voluntary — that’s the departing person’s news to share or not share. A private DM or a small in-team note from the manager is the more respectful default.
- Can I make a leaving card that the whole team signs?
- The generator creates a single card, but you can post it as the opener in a thread and ask the team to add their own send-off messages below. That captures the "card everyone signed" feeling in a digital channel.
- What template works best for a retirement send-off?
- The Voyage template fits retirement well — the message field lets you write a longer note, and the tone is warmer than the Classic style. Replace "Bon voyage" mentally with whatever fits your team’s voice.
