Frequently asked questions

Is this generator really free?
Yes — completely free, no signup, no email required, and no watermark on the downloaded image. Use it as often as you like.
Where do my uploaded photos and logos go?
Nowhere. Every image you add is processed in your browser using the HTML canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, nothing is stored, nothing is tracked.
What image size does it produce?
Cards export as 1200×630 PNGs. That ratio is ideal for Slack image previews, LinkedIn posts, and email signatures, and looks crisp on retina displays.
How do I post the card to Slack?
Two options. Click Download to save the PNG and drag it into any Slack channel or DM. Or click Copy image and paste it directly into a message with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG in the Company logo section and it will appear at the top of every template. Your branding stays consistent across cards.
How should I announce a promotion in Slack?
Post the card with a short message: who was promoted, their old and new titles, and one sentence about why they earned it. Avoid corporate boilerplate — name a specific accomplishment if you can.
Should I get the person’s approval before announcing their promotion?
Yes. Confirm with them first, especially around timing — they may want to tell direct reports or external partners before a company-wide post. Asking takes 30 seconds and avoids awkward surprises.
What should I write in a promotion announcement message?
Keep the body short: "Excited to share that Alex is now our Senior Designer. Their work on the redesign launch this quarter set the bar for the whole team — thrilled to see them step into this role." Brevity reads as confidence.
Is it OK to celebrate small promotions publicly?
Yes, and you should. Internal mobility — even small title changes — is one of the strongest signals to the rest of your team that growth is possible. A simple card costs nothing and pays off in retention.
Can I use this for a lateral move or team change instead of a promotion?
Absolutely. The Headline template works well for any role change announcement — just put the new role in the "New role" field and skip the previous-role field for a clean look.
